In his first race for the BMC-Vifit Pro Triathlon Team, Max Neumann defended his new team colours in style. The Australian put together an excellent performance to take an outstanding victory on the Sunshine Coast.
Excellent performance
Afterwards Max Neumann explained how the race unfolded: "The race went very well. I had a great swim coming out 3rd in the front group. We then went on to ride well with a small group of us off the front and managed to get a good gap to the second pack. I came off the bike in first place and pushed the tempo the first 3km at about 3.03 pace to get a gap and then settled into the run to get another win in Mooloolaba. All in all a great day out with great sensations!"
Very proud
Afterwards the BMC-Vifit athlete reflected on his performance: "I am very proud to get my first victory for the team and I want to thank the entire team for setting me up so well to perform at my absolute best. Unfortunately unsure when I will race next but the shape is good and I look forward to when we are able to get back on the race course".
